Default Factory "copper" colored grease

Anyone know what the name of the copper-colored lube/grease Glock puts on their pistols at the factory? Is it any better than other common brand lubes? Thanks for any input!

Damon

They put it on there because it is their recommended lubrication for break in, even though there is not break in needed. I shoot them with it on there for a couple hundred rounds, then it gets cleaned off with its first cleaning.

Is a special anti seize lubricant manufactured by Felpro, anyways it has copper shavings in it that help to break in the gun faster

You can leave it on and it will eventually work it self out through a couple trips to the range our you can just wipe it off when you get the gun doesn't really matter

It's only used as a visual indicator in the factory to check that the rails line up in the slide properly. It's not going to "break in" anything. Copper is very soft compared to the hardened Rockwell/C64 of the slide and the steel rail of the frame. It's proper use is to provide a electrical connection in conduit for a proper ground. I use it on my auto battery for a good connection and prevent corrosion, it's a conductive type of grease. Don't waste your money on it, buy ammo!
