Default Glock 19 Gen 4 ejection issue !

So after asking lots of people and looking at reviews I bought my 1st Glock, the gen 4 19

So here is my problem that i am finding out that I am not alone with

Shot it for the first time today, it did like I was told, fired anything I put in it, 4 different brands from 115 grain to 145 grain
About 400 rounds total

(BUT) every clip I ended up getting hit in the head, face, and even had 4 different times hot brass went down my shirt on guessing about at least %75 of all the ejected brass . Should have started counting
This really sucks, it's dangerous and distracting

Shot at Shilo shooting range in North Houston, ( great place)
Talked with the owner, Jeff , and Patrick, ( great people) . And they said oh yea, it's a common issue with the gen 4

Patrick said the only fix he knows is to get a Gen 2 ejector and replace the gen 4
Wow , I can't believe that with all the good people have to say about glock, that they would make their latest version and have it do something as dumb as this
I have to wonder if they tested it much b4 putting it in stores

I have other 9 mm like my 32 yr old Beretta 92FS and never had a failure or problem like this
Which has had at least 5-6 k rounds through it

Sorry for such long post to ask a simple question , But thanks for any input

Hmm. After loving my very first Glock, a 42...I too, got a Gen 4-19. I had one round fly up and it my left ear. Once. I've had it for about three weeks and put over 600 rounds through it. I've not seen this for me, as a trend. I'm sure others with more Glock experience can give you better feedback but I've not had this as an issue for me and my new 19. I love it. In fact, I shoot it now over my VP9 all day long.

That's good to know
Maybe just mine has an issue , Looking forward to seeing what glock replies with
I may need to ship to them to check out , Bummer if I do.But rather get it right now as it's my new carry gun , put the colt in the safe .
But can't keep getting hit constantly with hot brass

I have a G4 19 a little over a year old about 1100 rds have only had 1 or 2. It happens so infrequently I assumed it was the practice ammo I use.

Most likely not the issue , but i will try again being focused on it
My Beretta 92fs 9mm has always performed flawlessly , The Glock being lighter may add some to twist of wrist, but I don't really see it but will make sure
I was shooting 2 handed braced so don't think it was the issue

I am not giving up on it and will do all I can to get a response from Glock,
Only hope they have good customer service

Am hoping to find someone else having the same issue to see if they did how they resolved the issue

^^^^"Brass to face" is a known issue. More prevalent but not quite as painful as "Glock leg".

The only time I've actually had it happen was shooting 9 out of a 40 with conversion bbl without changing the ejector.

I have a G19, gen 4 and have occasionally experienced brass to the face, but typically when I do, I realize it's me getting sloppy with my grip/form. I've noticed that if I maintain a strong wrist/grip I don't have these issues.

Before changing parts, I'd try shooting it more and make adjustment to form and see what effects, if any, that has.

I just bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 myself. I had read a lot of posts on various sites on the brass to face issue along with an amazing range of "fixes" for the issue. And then there are the Youtube videos on the topic...

One Youtuber made videos each time he got it back from Glock complaining that it was still doing it. He kept sending it back and eventually got a new one that did not have the problem.

I have only had the chance to put around 150 rounds through mine. I cannot judge if mine has any BTF issues since I am shooting indoors right now and the brass will often bounce off of the lane wall that I am next to.

Reading all of the various changes that have worked for individuals will make you dizzy so make sure you are in a comfortable chair.
