Default Vortex Venom & Glock MOS - M3 screw / bolt comparison

For those of you looking to use the Vortex Venom as an optic for your MOS, you need to attain different screws for it to work.
  • The Vortex Venom uses the "01" Glock MOS plate
  • The screws that come with the Vortex Venom do not work (screw diameter is too large)
  • The screws that come with the Glock MOS plates will not work
  • You can contact Vortex who will send you screws free of charge BUT, they are too short in my opinion (5mm) and do not engage enough threading.
  • I ended up using M3 x 6mm bolts which worked fine.

I disassembled mine to take some pics.

home depot or lows you want 6mm m3 screws always do a dry fit to make sure they are not too long, and HAND TIGHT only! you literally have 2 threads to work with im trying to get torque specs and it is recommended to puta very light coat of oil on the glock plate then mount red dot let me know if anyone has questions!

non related but you also should NEVER use a hammer 🔨 on a glock on dissemble period alls you need is a punch i see so many ppl using them it stretches the frame holes and destroys slide release
