Rat snake. Non venomous. Harmless. more people are hurt running away than by the snake itself! Lol

+1. Before judging a snake look at its pIace in the food chain. For every snake you kill, you are enabling 6-8 mice to breed every month which can yeild > 100 babies per live mouse/rat per year.

Only thing is that some will try to act like a venomous snake when they get agitated. And when they strike it looks a lot like a venomous snake strike.
