Welcome to the forum.

I'd have to add these to the list:

The Wild Bunch
Smokin' Aces
Bonnie and Clyde (the Warren Beatty version)
Grosse Point Blank- Who Knew Dan Aykroyd could be an action star?
The International- in the Guggenheim
Boondock Saints- ANY of the shooting scenes.

Now i Need to go re-watch some of these.

D

As DW stated, I also believe Bonnie and Clyde was one hell of a shootout.

I've never seen that one before . I believe it stars Faye Dunaway ? And like the other guy said Warren Beatty ? I'll have to pick that one up . Familiar with the outcome but have not seen the movie

Yep, that's the one. It might have been because I was so young, but the bullets hitting their bodies will always be stuck in my mind.

The movie "Open Range" was pretty good. It reminded me of my Grandfather, who could actually "Fan" a single action Colt held at his waist, & put all five in a paper plate ten yards away.

The movie "Raid at Cabanatuan" is the only war film that comes to mind where the writers & directors seemed to get it halfway right. Just professional, highly trained soldiers focused on the task at hand, trying to keep it as simple as possible to accomplish a difficult goal. Friendships based in confidence of someones competence don't require much conversation. Not much room for personal drama in the real deal. Not good Hollywood fare.
